Pumpkins and Apples - all for a great cause

This harvest, Steppe Cellars will be selling local pumpkins and apples fresh from our orchards. Pick out a pumpkin from our "pumpkin patch" - or choose from our Gala and Golden apples. All proceeds will go to benefit Project Hope, a health-care organization Gabrielle has worked with both in Africa and after Hurricane Katrina.

1st Crush of 2008

We had our first crush of the season this past weekend. The Syrah, Merlot, and Tempranillo grapes are now all fermenting on their skins. The Syrah grapes that we are using for the Rose is all pressed. It was a beautiful weekend. The grapes look great. And we so enjoyed sharing the experience of crush with all of our guests this weekend!

Seattle Farmer's Markets

The summer season at the Magnolia Farmer's Market has just one month left. Hard to believe, as t it was off to a slow start for most growers, and produce is just now in full swing. We're hoping to keep our loyal Steppe Cellars market customers happy over the "off season" by offering a special discount on case purchases, so you can keep enjoying Steppe Cellars wines over the winter. Stop by and talk with Mike and Gabrielle for details. See you Saturdays at the market!
